John Serapilio has 30 plus years of experience in sales and business ownership where success is based on building relationships, providing exceptional customer relations, supporting and developing employers, co-workers and clients.
Through taking the Dale Carnegie Effective Communications and Human Relations class, he joined the foodservice industry working with Pezrow Food Brokers in Albany, NY, and Mid-State Food Brokers in Syracuse, NY. Then John spent 10 years with Best Foods/Unilever representing Hellmann’s, Knorr, Lipton, Skippy, Thomas, and other national brands servicing wholesale distributors in Eastern NY.
In 2003 John joined the optical industry working for Precision Optical Co./ Essilor USA in East Hartford, CT. He provided Eye Care Professionals education on lens designs, coatings, frames, dispensing equipment, and best business practices always focusing on improving a patient’s vision and quality of life. His territory was New York State including Long Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut.
In 2010 John started PNA Books, a franchise of Books Are Fun/Collective Goods. As a franchise owner, he worked with many large companies, hospitals, and nursing homes assisting with their fund-raising needs by providing mobile retail sales events. He managed all aspects of a small business – financing, purchasing, hiring, customer service, and sales while serving customers in Eastern NY, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
In 2021 John rejoined the Dale Carnegie family as an account executive and trainer candidate with Dale Carnegie of NENY & WMA based in Albany NY.
